Bredbury Recreation Ground is located in the north-eastern side of Stockport. The park is surrounded mainly by small terraced houses and close to a local shopping area. Compared to some other parts of Stockport, Bredbury is poorly served in terms of the amount of recreational greenspace and so the site is a vital outdoor recreation space within a built-up area. The park is fenced and or hedged along its boundaries with the adjacent housing area and is well maintained and inspected on an annual basis. Efforts should continue to ensure that all boundary fence lines are maintained and managed to high standards as these form a welcoming impression to visitors when managed in this way. Currently the facilities on-site, include two playground areas, skateboard park, trim trail, tennis, basket ball court and other open green space. Developments in 2007 included the improvement of the pavilion building and redesign and improvement of horticultural features. Facilities and features
